Notebook Emergency

I'm running out of Moleskine ruled reporter notebooks. How will I live without my flip-top ruled steno-style digest-sized scribbler?

Tragic.

Finished

I've lost my best Ghana friend to home. He was swallowed up by British Airways, hot showers, and Iron Maiden. Goodbye Tom, sorry you're 'finished*,' it was nice having someone to keep me in shits and giggles.

Soccer Pitch or Soccer Ditch?

Last week, I took a two-day work trip to Cape Coast (3 hrs from Accra). We took a walk around town and stumbled on this street that was just filling up with people. They were coming for a children's soccer game that was set to happen in this giant drain (maybe the width of a regular-sized room, but very long and narrow). At least a hundred people showed up to cheer and bet - they even brought their own bench seating.

A New Home, A Broken Laptop

My laptop decided that it doesn't like the new home and has died on me. Luckily (?) the Dell service centre in Ghana is located directly across the street from my work. Cross your fingers that laptop repair here is as cheap as the beer (I'm guessing not). Anyway, the point is that I won't be doing audio posts until the laptop is fixed (unless I phone them in).

Here are some pictures;
